MUSEUM RECORDING PROJECT

During the 2020/2021 academic year the Early Music Princeton Singers recorded a selection of medieval and Renaissance music for the Princeton University Museum. The recordings were made entirely virtually using GarageBand and Logic. The music was chosen to compliment specific items selected by the museum and the recordings are featured on the museum’s website alongside the pieces that inspired them. This is the beginning of an ongoing musical collaboration with the museum and will include live performances as well as future recordings. Below, the recording of Es ist ein Ros Entsprungen, chosen to accompany a 15th century statue of the Virgin Mary and child:
